Yesterday i have create the blog on What is Digital Marketing. In today's blog i have written blog on different types of digital marketing. Now lets have a checked.
We can mainly divide Digital Marketing into two parts: offline marketing
and online marketing. Now let's understand these two in detail:
Offline Digital Marketing:
Yes, offline marketing is also a part of digital marketing.
This is a way to market digital devices, but it is not necessary that it is
connected to the Internet.
In this category, many types of electronic devices can be
used such as:
- Radio
- TV
- Mobile
TV: We all are seeing advertising on TV from childhood. Some
of these advertisements like Action School Shoes, Zandu Balm, and Washing
Powder-Nirma etc. have settled in our memories. But since YouTube has come,
people are now getting away from the TV. There are many problems in advertising
on TV, this is very expensive for small businesses and apart from this, it can
not be properly targeted while it is very easy in YouTube.
Mobile: Here we are talking about SMS marketing, which has
now become less than the coming of the smartphone, but it can still be used
today.
Online Digital Marketing:
It is also called Internet marketing, by its name it is
known that such type of marketing is used in such digital devices which are
connected to the Internet such as: Mobile, Laptop, and Computer etc.
Online marketing is also of several types, of which some of
the categories are given below:
- Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
- Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC)
- Social Media Marketing (SMM)
- Content marketing
- Email marketing
- Affiliate marketing
Search engine marketing (SEM): From SEO we bring traffic
freely from search engines, SEM is a trended way in which traffic is obtained
by advertising in search engines such as Google, Bing etc.
Pay-Per-Click Advertising (PPC): This is a method of
advertising that shows advertisements in the form of banners or text, and the
advertiser has to pay the fixed price on every single click. A better example of this is that you can see on Google:
Whenever you search something, some ads are displayed at the top and on the top
of the page with results, they are actually PPC ads. This method is not only in
the search engine but also the use of PPC ads on many websites.
Social Media Marketing (SMM): Social media marketing is a way to promote a website,
product or service using social sites such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram,
YouTube etc.
Nowadays everyone uses social sites, but it has become an
integral part of our life. In this way these social sites have become a great
platform for marketing.
Content Marketing: This is a new way of marketing.
High-quality and interesting content is created in which it can attract target
audience and keep them in an engagement. The content here means the digital
content that is:
- blog post
- video
- e-book
- Infographic
- podcast etc.
Its main purpose is to promote a brand, product or website
to make the audience customer.
Email marketing: Yes, email marketing, it still works.
Promotional e-mails are sent to many people at once. Its specialty is that it
is easy and cheap.
Affiliate Marketing: In this, we promote the product or
service of another person or brand and receive some commission upon getting
sales.
